Teaching Summary (5/26)
Last week, we had our second "Community Night". Instead of a normal service, we broke up into small groups and had some connecting time. Our topic was prayer, and we looked briefly at Peter's teaching on prayer.
As we've been learning in Acts, Peter was the leader of the early church, and was a powerful and impactful leader. We know from the Gospels that he spent years with Jesus learning about prayer from the Master. As one of Jesus' inner circle (along with James and John), he even watched Jesus pray privately. Until he fell asleep, that is.
So Peter, of all people, should have some deep, powerful, and life-changing teachings on the subject. He does. Eleven whole words:
Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. -1 Peter 5:7
